My Year of Rest and Relaxation

The narrator of this novel has all the advantages of life, Young, pretty, she lives in an apartment on the Upper East Side of Manhattan paid for, like everything else, by her inheritance. But there is a vacuum in her life, so she decided to spend a year under the influence of drugs, designed to heal her from her alienation from this world.
